We have recently completed a project at, 170 Queen’s Gate, London which is a grade 2 listed Victorian townhouse built in 1889 by Norman Shaw, who was one of the most important architects of the 19th century.
PIMS work comprised of 3 areas, The Garage, Courtyard and Plantroom.
Key Deliverables
PIMS work comprised of 3 areas, The Garage, Courtyard and Plantroom.
Design, Construction, Installation and Commissioning of the following …
The boiler and pump set located in the garage in a purpose built plantroom.
The existing basement plantroom where steam is currently used to make heating and hot water for the building.
The boiler is split in 3 modules, each rated at 147kW. They are independent from each other and can run one at a time, or all together.
The primary shunt pumps designed to run as duty standby.
A pressurisation Unit and expansion vessel is installed to maintain a constant static pressure in the system.
35kW LTHW to DHW Exchanger – The heat exchanger is generating DHW at 65C.
105kW LTHW to DHW Exchanger – The heat exchanger is generating DHW at 65C into the existing storage vessel.
125kW LTHW to LTHW Exchanger – The heat exchanger is generating LTHW at 82C into the existing low loss header in the basement plantroom. The existing heating distribution systems remained in place and are not altered by these works.

Strategic Elements
Working within an existing grade 2 building with very tight spatial restrictions.
Successes
Our Workshop fabricated the framed boiler house and built it up completely including wiring before being shipped to Imperial.
