We have had a really busy and positive August with some amazing projects taking place. One of these projects is St James Hospital in Leeds. The other is the University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust.
St James Hospital Leeds
The professional PIMS team have been working with VITAL Energi to have recently achieved practical completion on a new Energy Centre at St James Hospital in Leeds.
The design for this project commenced at the end of 2018 and started on site February 2019.
This project consisted of a 4.5MW CHP Engine, a 12 Tonne Steam Combination, and a 16 Tonne Steam Boiler. The Energy distribution included 1Km of LTHW pipework around the hospital serving our pre-fabricated plate heat exchangers in dispersed plantrooms.
The project was delivered with a 97% Green Health & Safety score, 3 months ahead of schedule and on budget.
University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust
The University Hospital is another interesting project with VITAL Energi. We are mid-way through this installation and have just erected the 1st of 3 large platforms. This was designed and manufactured at our offices / workshop. It houses a 11M long Dry Air Cooler and straddles a new HV synchronised breaker room we have also just finished constructing.
